Today is the fourth anniversary of one of the worst terror incidents in the recent history of Birmingham.

The Library of Birmingham has been lit up in the colours of the Union Jack tonight, in tribute to the victims of today’s tragic London attacks.

The Birmingham landmark is illuminated in red, white and blue this evening to show solidarity with the Capital, after five people have died and 20 people have been injured following a violent stabbing frenzy near the Houses of Parliament. Read the rest of this entry »

The Library of Birmingham was lit up in the colours of the Turkish flag last night, to pay tribute to those killed in  New Year’s Eve terror attack in Istanbul.

The Birmingham landmark was illuminated in red and white to show solidarity after 39 people were killed when a gunman opened fire inside Istanbul’s Reina nightclub on December 31st.  Read the rest of this entry »

A Life & Birthday Celebration! marks the legacy of Prince by taking the audience on a kaleidoscope of the late great artists’ music from his early recordings in the late Seventies through to the epic anthems of the Eighties to the funk inspired Nineties into the experimental Noughties.

Birmingham’s premiere mosque will be holding special prayer services this week  in honour of boxing legend Muhammad Ali, who died last Friday at the age of 74 in hospital in Phoenix, Arizona.
