The ‘living dead’ took to the streets of Birmingham this weekend for the annual Zombie Walk, in a bid to raise money for the Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
Thousands of people crowded into the ‘zombie-ready’ Centenary Square on Saturday morning and excitement buzzed through the city as people from far and wide, queued up to become ‘zombie-fied’ by special effects make-up artists all volunteering their time for the cause. Read the rest of this entry »

Over 50 fans dressed up as Simon Pegg’s character from film Shaun of the Dead will converge on the Birmingham Mailbox to mark the 10th anniversary of the cult Brit zombie flick.
Released in 2004, the Edgar Wright comedy starring Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Kate Ashfield became a huge international hit. Read the rest of this entry »

Birmingham’s sixth annual Zombie Walk has been announced for Saturday 13th September, with over two thousand of the ‘walking dead’ expected to descend on the city.
Following a successful march through the city last year in aid of the Birmingham Children’s Hospital, thousands of fundraisers will once again don Zombie make-up and attire and take to the streets in “search of brains”. Read the rest of this entry »

An increasingly popular urban zombie chase game is to bring its highly anticipated reign of terrorto the Midlands as it brings its zombie menace to Birmingham this month.
2.8 Hours Later will take place in Birmingham’s city centre on four consecutive nights from October 17, 2012. The hunt for zombie volunteers to do the chasing and scaring is now on. Read the rest of this entry »
Organised by Birmingham Zombies, the ‘Dance of the Dead’ ball was held to raise money for the charity to assist it with its work with homeless youngsters in the city.
The event, which was the newly-revamped Birmingham Ballroom’s premiere Halloween night since it’s reopening in September, was a massive success with over 750 revellers taking to the dance floor dressed up as zombies, ghouls and goblins. Read the rest of this entry »

A Zombie Ball, in aid of one of Birmingham’s major charities helping young people, is to take place at the city’s newly revamped Birmingham Ballroom venue this month.
Being launched by the organisers of the annual Birmingham Zombie Walk, the ‘Dance of the Dead’ ball aims to raise money for St. Basils, which works with homeless youngsters in the city.
The event is the Birmingham Ballroom’s premiere Halloween event since it’s reopening in September and is hoped to be as successful as recent Zombie Walks, which have so far raised over £3,000 for charity. Read the rest of this entry »
